New time schedule for Master programme Management of Conservation Areas
We have fantastic news for all students of, and everyone interested in the master’s programme Management of Conservation Areas. As of now students can apply for a fully-funded World Bank Scholarship (JJWBSP – World Bank and Japan Joint Scholarship).
The scholarship offered by the World Bank Programme will cover roundtrip airfare, a monthly, standard medical and accident insurance that is offered by the university, and tuition and other mandatory student fees. There is no age limit for applicants.
There are 2 steps you need to take to apply for this scholarship. If you have not yet applied for the master Management of Conservation Areas, you need to do that first. You can apply here.
After successfully enrolling in the master’s programme, you can apply for the scholarship. You need to make sure to meet the application criteria. Please refer to the Application Guidelines for JJ/WBGSP 2020 Scholarship for all details and check out the World bank’s website here.
‘We are very happy that our master’s programme Management of Protected Areas has been awarded by World Bank for the scholarship programme’, says scientific director Michael Jungmeier. ‘This is an outstanding opportunity. Since it takes most students several months to provide all needed documents to the university and to apply for the scholarship, we decided to start the next round of the master’s programme in September 2021.’
The new deadline for application at the University will thus be 31 January 2021. Early registration is highly recommended. According to the new time schedule students now only meet one time per semester in Austria for several days of presence, the exact dates being:
- Term 1: 20 September – 8 October 2021, 2 days off
- Term 2: 28 February – 18 March 2022, 2 days off
- Term 3: 31 October – 18 November 2022, 2 days off
- Term 4: 3 July – 15 July 2023
